Master of Acupuncture, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Chinese Herbs
Dr. Zhu is a licensed acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, author, MUIH faculty member, a scientist in the field of acupuncture and oriental medicine, and founder of Harmony Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Through his work, he integrates ancient wisdom and modern science by applying biomedical knowledge to clinical practice.
He is a 25th-generation practitioner of Zhu family Chinese medicine (Zhu Danxi Nourishing Yin School of Thought in TCM) and also 5th generation practitioner of Cheng’s Acupuncture. He authored Surface Anatomy of Acupuncture and is an editor of Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion (4th edition). He also published more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles. He recently published a new book, The Beauty of the Flowers – Growing with Purpose, which features photography by a cancer survivor.
