The Bell Ringing Ceremony is a traditional unofficial ceremony at MUIH that signifies the completion of master’s level clinical acupuncture requirements.
Members of the Goose and Butterfly cohorts rang the bell three times. The first ring of the bell is a call for ancestors, the second for the people present, and the third is for the future.
Professors, family, classmates, and friends gathered to watch us ring the bell and we recited in our hearts the physician oath, “The Oath of Sun Si Mao.” Poetry, art, food, and refreshments were shared to celebrate their journey.
